Which adhesive for quartz tile on concrete and plywood floor

Anonymous user 28/02/2024 - 3.19 PM

I am not a tiler and I am looking for advice. I am going to attempt to lay 300 x 300 quartz floor tiles in my bathroom part of the floor is dusty concrete the other part is a raised 18mm wbp plywood platform. I am using Mapei products and was advised to seal the concrete with mapei G2 which I have done. I was also informed to use Keraquick s1 mixing it with latex plus. I have read that this sets really quick. Can I use these products on both the concrete and plywood or do I need to do something different. Can I mix these products in smaller proportions if so what are the proportions. I have recently read various posts that tell me differing ways. Do I need to coat the bottom of the tiles with G2 primer to assist with adhesion?. Any pointers or advice would be greatly appreciated .

Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

U can use Granirapid from mapei 2 compound adhesive for quartz tiles . Also u should use for all floor ditra matting to connect ply and concrete and lay some good quality latex on ditra then tiling i think u will have problem with crack between concrete and wood if u don't use ditra matting. Also keraquick s1 is good but i think for porcelan tiles .Regards

Try using WEBERSET PRO LITE RAPID. It's good for flexible flooring heated and wooden floors plus can be used in or outside.
