Water pressure too low in first floor of a semi-detached house

Anonymous user 15/03/2024 - 2.31 PM

I live in a semi-detached house and the first floor bathroom has very low water pressure. Any tap opened in the ground floor will trickle down the water flow in the first floor taps and often the electric shower cuts off because of low pressure. What are the ways this issue can be resolved?

Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

Hi, I would suggest to add a pressure pump. Simple and efficient and cost effective. You can hire a plumber to check on your main and find best place to add a pressure pump N Radu@EXLO

Hi, how old is the house? what sort of plumbing system does it have? ie is it a traditional vented system or a combi boiler? Does this happen when running both hot and cold or just one of them? If its an older property its possible that the pipe work may be Galvanised rather than Copper. If this is the case its likely that the pipes have scaled up reducing the flow of water through them. if you could supply this info i may be able to point you in the right direction
