Removing the caps over the bolts of the toilet seat
Anonymous user 23/02/2024 - 3.01 PM
The fitting is from the top but the chrome caps are attached to small vertical bolts which also hold the seat in place so you can't just lever them up. The small vertical bolts do not unscrew so how on earth do I remove the caps. Thank you.

Usually the bolts go through the WC pan and are secured with nuts. Trace the route the bolts take through the pan and slide your hand round the back of the pan where you think the bolts should be and you should find the nuts.
Also sometimes the caps over the bolts may slide off sideways rather than pulling off.
Hope this helps
