Toilet cistern constant fill and water trickling into bowl.

Anonymous user 28/02/2024 - 3.18 PM

When the toilet is flushed the cistern fills again but once full the water Inlet to the cistern keeps filling meaning water constantly trickles into the toilet bowl. The toilet has been constantly flowing for nearly 24 hrs now other than shutting off the water supply nothing seems to stop the flow when I lift the float in the toilet etc. Any ideas?

The toilets these days don't have overflows outlet to outside. Now the overflow flows down internally to the pan. Call a plumber to check it out for you. Sounds like you have a problem with the inlet valve seal. Depending on type of toilet and sysyem. There are quite a lot on the market. Regards combigas.
