Hello, The underlay I always use which is an expensive product when compared to others however it is certainly worth it's money is Duralay Excel, it is perfect for use on wooden floors and is designed for laminate and hardwood flooring with excellent acoustic properties. Along with a built in DPM it can provide a good moisture barrier when sealed with sealing tape when taping up underlay joints. Thanks, Dan D Carter Property Maintenance

Hi if your floorboards are flat & level a very good underlay to use is timbermate expensive but worth it otherwise sound board is ok if floorboards are a little uneven. Good luck. Ryan
