Worried about pressure into house - New Plumbing system needed
Anonymous user 23/02/2024 - 3.01 PM
I am in the middle of a full house renovation. With my extension I am adding a downstairs toilet and extra en-suite to the property. I want to make sure I have great pressure in my taps and also instant hot water, Do I go with a combi 40kw worcester boiler as recommended or do I have the vented system? I am bringing the blue pipe in from the street to help the pressure into the house. My main concern is doing the house to a high standard and still having pressure issues if for example the 2 showers are being used at the sametime and then someone turns on kitchen tap? Any ideas

A combi will be no good for a property of this size. Think about an unvented cylinder which will provide lots of hot water at mains pressure without any pressure loss. Also a 40kw boiler is huge. Unless you have 5 bedrooms / 3 bathrooms this will probable be excessive

Neither will give you good Hot water flow if incoming cold mains is not sufficient, beware what you do before having cold mains fitted and tested.
