old style cooker switch and plug socket

I'm fitting a new kitchen for my dad,in a ground floor flat that he rents out. The cooker is electric. It's in the corner with a wall to the left hand side and rear of it and a washing machine on the right hand side. The cooker is wired into a point in the wall on the left hand side of the oven area about .400mm from floor level and .300mm from the back wall. I maybe wrong but can't see this being illegal or meeting the regulations necessary. If so please let me know what they should be. The cooker switch and socket is an old fashioned style with the on off switch to the cooker and the on off switch to the socket. This is situated on the wall to left hand side of the cooker above the electric hob. .100 mm away from the side of the cooker.300/400mm above the hob and.400 mm off the back wall. Is this safe or meet regulations. I wanted to know if steam/condensation or pan fires etc could become an issue with the position it's in and if its legal to rent a property out in this condition. Advice and information will be much appreciated. Thanks Nicky the Bricky 👍
