Fixed shower head compatibility - Mira

Just had a new shower and enclosure installed. The enclosure (Aqualux walkin 1400x800) has a chrome support rail that gets in the way of fitting the overhead 20cm round deluge shower head (its a Mira Atom with diverter http://www.homebase.co.uk/en/homebaseuk/mira-atom-with-diverter---chrome-270543). I think we could probably replace with a square or round 15cm head instead to the overhead pipe - does anyone know if Mira fittings are compatible with other shower manufacturers? Any recommendations on a good manufacturer or ones to avoid? Cheers
