levelling uneven floor

Anonymous user 28/02/2024 - 3.18 PM

we built an extension across the rear of our new 1930s bungalow which originally had 2 hip sections to rear including an internal store which now have become an modern open plan kitchen and living area. one part and the new has solid floor but a small part was the internal store that area is totally un level to the new and 2 its self. we plan to dig out as much as possible to reduce it to around 25mm, but we also have a part of the original hip on the other side which has a wooden floors and with no original connection between these rooms they are uneven by around 30/35mm, what would be the best way to level these? its to shallow for screed and to deep for normal leveling compound, plus we have the gap where the wood floor meets the concert that will need to be closed off. i have reason not to use the builders who did the extension.

Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

Hi you can use a latex screed that builds up to 40mm in one go.

My best advice is to contact FBall or Ardex technical departments and get them to spec the works.
