Leaky water supply pipe or mains stop valve

Anonymous user 01/03/2024 - 2.53 PM

Typical 1930s semi with front garden. I found a muddy patch just inside my front wall near the mains water stop valve, which is in the pavement. It is hard to say whether it is a leak coming from my supply pipe or the mains and coming under the pavement. If it was my supply pipe then is this an expensive job to fix vs replace? ta BOB

Bob, if it is leaking before the stop tap then you may be able to get severn trent in or your area supplier to replace. you may want to get a plumber in to confirm what you are suspecting however. Matt Director EM-Gas & Heating Solutions.
