Extractor fan for bathroom

Anonymous user 28/02/2024 - 3.18 PM

Hello We have had 2 airflow icon fans in our bathroom and both broke after the warranty period Can anyone recommended a replacement fan and do you recommend humidistat or just a timer

Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

I think humidistat fans are overrated and expensive a timer fan is always a good option as long as you have an isolator within easy reach. So you can isolate at night to avoid waking everyone when needing to use the toilet. Personally I find Vent Axia fans are the best value for money in the long run. However there are plenty of spares for the Airflow fans so could possibly easily repair existing. Regards Smart Installations

Hi. I have seen the problem you speak about many times. I firstly want to tell you that fans, especially the good fan's (not 30 pounds ones) are not destroyed by age or water but dust! This makes them very loud, even though they are regarded as silent. I would suggest to buy a very good brand ( Envirovent, Vent-Axia, etc.) and maintain them regularly and you will save money and prevent future unplanned refurbishments caused by excess of humidity in the air. P.S, Buy the humidistat ones as (if the fan is silent) these will evacuate the extra humidity in the air on time and will not disturb you. Just a recommendation, the Envirovent Cyclone is a fan that will not disappoint you. If you don't like the looks there are others with similar characteristics
