brick effect render gone bad
Anonymous user 09/03/2024 - 2.35 PM
I employed a company to insulate and render my house everything went fine until it got to the Weber brick effect render which is a wonky mess, they think it's fine I think it's horrible, There is no dealing with the company at all and they are refusing to do anything with it. What can I do to fix it? Can it be skimmed over and the mortar lines put in again? Is it possible to hack it off it being over insulation? Any suggestions much appreciated.

Yes you can re render over. Using high bond render as a scratch and to start again. Depending on reveal sizes on windows and doors etc. If it's too thick then it's best to hack off and start again saving the scratch coat underneath if possible. As is brick effect then it has it's own key.
Hope it helps
