Hi Gina. All depends on what sort of cut you are after. Straight tile cutter for straight cuts. Wet cutter if you want to take out squares or odd shapes out of tiles. Nips or snips (depending on where your from) to make wholes bigger in tiles. Hope that help Richard

Hi Gina, There are many different ways to cut a tile. It all depends on the tile itself and the shape you are cutting it to. For a simple straight or diagonal line then a dry tile cutter is fine- simply scribe and snap with dry cutter. For curved cuts you can use a combination of a hand scriber (which I make myself out of a dry cutter blade and a bit of timer, for a handle) and a wet cutter. For Square cuts you would use a wet cutter. And for thick tiles you can use an angle grinder. As you can see- plenty of variations! Hope that helps
