Basement conversion

Hi, we have a fairly dry basement we are thinking of renovating in to an office room, 6x4m , it has 6 foot of head room which needs increasing. Is it cheaper to dig out the floor or raise the 11 joists of the ceiling? thanks for any advice Paul

Hi. Digging out is best but watch out for under mining the footing. You need a contractor that has exsperance. You may hit the water table and need a sump pump. What area are you? Cheers
