Is it possible to remove a couple of tiles from a wall of tiles to replace a shower?

Anonymous user 09/03/2024 - 2.35 PM

I have a shower which is old and needs replacing, the fitting is old and therefore slightly out of the current standard I keep getting told Metric and imperial but I don't know the measurements to hand). I can only assume that the tiles immediately around the shower would need to be removed and then the new shower fitted with tiles around. This would also apply for the shower rail which would no doubt have to be changed as well as it has been drilled through for a specific rail attachment. So would the whole wall of tiles have to come down, or can just a couple be removed effectively? Many thanks.

Of course, it is possible to takie down a few tiles and then it will be easy access to pipes ,that can be exchanged or moved when needed for a new shower. The tiles are best to break from the center to the outside so as not to damage the tiles that are to be left, I am hope helped at little .
