Removal of writing in marker and fluorescent pens from walls/ceilings
Anonymous user 23/02/2024 - 2.32 PM
Moved into a house with a room covered in writing on the walls/ceilings in marker and fluorescent pens. Have now painted using stain block and undercoat but the marking is still still visible. Is there any other paint that I can use to cover this or can I use some sort of top paint/graffiti removal? Thanks

It will bleed through a normal gloss but white spirit will remove most of it then apply a special binder/sealer coat available from all good paint suppliers .....
To be 100% I would apply a 14gauge lining paper this will eliminate everything

Try oil based gloss that should do the trick. Stain blocks are an exspensive waste of time.

the best thing to use in 'Bin' stain blocker it comes in a small tin and is around £10 it will cover and stain pen and even spilt coffee which is a pain. i always keep a tin on the van as it also dries in 20 mins
