has my artex got asbestos in 1940s house

Hi. I'm currently putting in a new kitchen and the walls are artex. Does anyone know if contains asbestos

Yes. One should always suspect asbestos content in artex, unless known to not be present, which can only be confirmed by sampling and testing. Typically, asbestos content in artex is around 3 - 5%. Many Thanks, Jason.
