Please can someone advise if this is a bad tiling job

Hi, please can you help me on this, I think I have a trade man done a bad wall tile job on our bath room wall, the house is a new build, only build last year, our bath room was only half height wall tile, so we want to increase the tile up to the ceiling, the wall is completely flat. The tiler put the tiles uneven, the joints space dose not match the orginal space, the gouting dose not look good, it spread out of the joints, I spoke to the tradesman, they siad is normal, please can someone tell me it is a bad job, I can send you photos. Thanks

In my opinion the tiles should be not uneven and the grout lines should match the existing as long as there the exact tiles ,everythink should be uniformed and level

It sounds like it is a bad job,if the grout lines are not straight and the grouting is bad then the tiler is not a tiler and also can not be a tradesman otherwise he would of given you a good job and not made any excuse.
