Plastering & Rendering

Cracks in walls and ceiling

Anonymous user 28/02/2024 - 3.17 PM

I am wondering if anyone can advise on the best course of action. I have recently purchased a 1970's 2 bed Bungalow and we are renovating this to bring it up to date. There are are two noticeable crack lines running the length of the Bungalow going through each bedroom through the hall way and into the lounge. There is also a crack from wall to ceiling in the bedroom possibly where the stud wall meets solid plaster. I have been told by a handyman that i have hired to strip the wallpaper anc coving that this was most probably because when the plastering was done they didnt tape it. I am wondering what is the most economical way to make these walls good. What are the options for fixing this? I intend to paint all the walls and need the surfaces to be of a good quality, also for peace of mind also, i want the place to be right. Any advice or suggestions would be very welcome. Thank you.

I would suggest you get someone come out and see your problem, you may not have any issues but it is almost impossible to tell you what the remedies are until it is looked at on site.
