Toilet not filling up

Anonymous user 15/03/2024 - 2.31 PM

Our toilet doesn't fill up after flushing. We have to lift the cistern lid and push down on the float(?) to get it to fill. My husband constantly cleans it to stop it sticking. Is there anything more we can do or does something need replacing?

Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

Seems, for some reason, that the float is sticking in the up position. This is sometimes as a result of the float making contact with the side of the cistern or chalk build up, both of which will interfere with the normal operation of the float. I would go for a new float/fill valve. Rick

Change The Float or Inlet Valve or Ball Valve.
