Extending and brightening my kitchen: Lean-to conservatory or bi-fold doors?

Hello, I am interested in increasing the light into my kitchen and slightly extending it. The kitchen is approx 4x4m. It's a wreck and needs completely redoing. We would only want to extend by up to about 2m at the back. It seems I have two options: i) to add an extension with some bi-fold doors at the back , or ii) adding a lean-to conservatory.
