Patio has been laid with a thin layer of concrete (skin) following underpinning work. This is now breaking away in patches after 10 years. What is best solution

Rip it all up, dig down and allow for minimum 100mm of type 1 mot, well compacted, relay the slabs on a full bed of coarse sand/ cement at 4 to 1.
