Remove a fused spur
Anonymous user 09/03/2024 - 2.34 PM
We have a fused spur in our lounge which I think is from the old fireplace. It is next to a double plug socket. How much would it be to get the fused spur removed, and the plug socket moved/removed (it isn't really needed) as currently they are in the middle of the wall in full view.

On the face of it it shouldn't cost too much - provided it is a simple as what you say. The key is to have it removed by a qualified electrician who should ensure that once he/she has finished, the circuit left behind is safe. I would expect to pay for the first hour call out fee. As to how much it depends on where you are and who you engage - shop around until you are comfortable with the person who will do the job.
