Plastering & Rendering

Flat above ours had a leak from their dishwasher and it leaked through to us, apart from getting a plasterer in to fix the damage do we need to get any other specialists in?

there is quite bad cracking and water damage and water was coming through the light fittings.

as long as the leak is fixed you should be able to get a plasterer in and reboard the damp parts of the ceiling or re board it all then plaster it.If the light fitting that got water to it keeps tripping you may need a electrician to have a look. other than that you should just need a plasterer. hope this helps.

The only other specialist you need is their insurers, so you can claim for the damage.

Hi Claire, you should just need a plasterer in providing the electrics are fine and possibly an insurance surveyer if your planning to claim.
