Kitchen Fitting

Is the connection of completely new waste pipes a standard part of a normal kitchen fitting service?

Anonymous user 28/02/2024 - 3.16 PM

We recently bought a brand new property with an unusual problem - it was never finished properly and never had a proper kitchen fitted. The water pipes are all there in the room we're going to use, but waste/ drainage pipes leading to an outside drain area are non-existent. My wife thinks that a kitchen fitter will be able to take this on as part of the normal job - I'm not so sure. Is this something we will need to hire a plumber for before beginning to talk to kitchen fitters? For the record, we do have an operating bathroom, toilet, shower, etc, so there is an existing drainage system elsewhere in the property.

Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

Hiya David, I would expect most firms to be able to fit a waste system into the kitchen. Most companies would either have someone capable of carrying out simple plumbing tasks when fitting a kitchen or would have a plumber available to call upon. Good luck Richard
