Partially blocked waste pipe from toilet

Anonymous user 23/02/2024 - 2.59 PM

Over the last six months we have had a semi blocked toilet- it flushes just about okay with liquid but I think there is a partial blockage further down the waste pipe. We have tried to push flexible rods down but due to the design of the toilet have been unable to do this - tried caustic soda etc but still think there is something there. Would this be a plumbers job or another trades? Thanks

Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

Hi Hazel, My recommendation would be to get in a drainage expert with CCTV equipment who can remove your toilet and send the camera down the soil pipe. This will show and issues within the pipe system. It could be something trapped down there or a partially damaged pipe. Hope this helps. Tommy TSC Plumbing

It may be possible to camera drain without removing toilet by going from a manhole outside the property upstream to toilet area. I am in the Morecambe Lancaster area if you need it looking at.if not I hope you get the problem solved. Thanks Alan.
