Pouring concrete under our floorboards to eradicate rodents

Anonymous user 09/03/2024 - 2.34 PM

We have had recurring problems with rats under our floorboards coming through from underneath our neighbours property because the boundary is not sealed off properly. We have been told that taking up the floorboards and pouring in concrete would be the best approach but have no idea who might do this and how complex a job it would be. Any advice gratefully received.

you will have to wire shut all the holes first as whilst the concrete is fully set the rats will eat through again. Any general builder should know how to do the job, make sure all rats are out of your foundations or they will eat their way into your house or die and this will leave a terrible smell.

Sounds like a common problem that I occasionally come across. Having your drains & neighbours drain CCTV survey may find a cracked pipe to were the rodents are coming into property's from. I am in Lancaster,Morecambe area should you need a futher investigation into the rodent problem. Jetflow drains. Thanks Alan.
