Boiler and hot water query

Today and one day a couple of weeks ago, my morning shower was at best tepid. When it first happened, I checked the timer was working properly, checked the pilot light was on, all good, and that evening put the central heating on for a few minutes. All good. Today, again, tepid shower. I'm still not running my central heating for the season, and haven't adjusted the timer, the thermostat, or the tap in the shower itself. Laat time, the next day all was fine. Any ideas what could be causing this?

This could be a faulty thermostat on the shower valve or the filters need cleaning on the inlets of the shower valve if your hot water is as per usual at other outlets i.e kitchen hot tap etc.....
