Is our cracked wall anything to worry about?
Anonymous user 01/03/2024 - 2.53 PM
We had a brick wall crack stitched using stainless steel masonry reinforcement but crack appeared again. The work was recommended by a structural engineer when we bought the property 10 years ago. The crack reappeared in the plaster but we left it. We are now considering putting a light roof on top as it is currently a conservatory polycarbonate room, but did wonder if the wall would be ok? Could someone advise?

If the wall isn't leaning out ,then you should be ok to remove old roof and put a light roof on, maybe EPDM rubber,
You could also tie the top in with the joists, wall plate, and steel ties.
