Kitchen Fitting

Magic Corner Adjustment

Anonymous user 09/03/2024 - 2.33 PM

Hello, We have a magic corner fitted in our kitchen, which is now approx 8 years old. The door needs some adjustment as it no longer sits level or closes completely. I know it is something to do with the series of screws holding the door in place, but which one is for what adjustment? jrs

There is a 3 way adjustment on cabinet hinges. There is the slot in the hingeplate which is held on by two screws, loosening these will allow you to move the door up and down. You need to do this to both hinges. Retighten when correct. There is a left and right adjustment which is usually the central screw which may protrude from the face of the hinge. Screwing in the screw will move the door away from the hinge unscrewing it will move it towards the hinge. This will give you left and right or a rotational adjustment if the door is sat at an angle. The screw to the rear moves the door in and out.
