Roofing

The type of 3 layer roof

Anonymous user 23/02/2024 - 2.59 PM

A question for the experts. I have been looking through insurance and they seem to ask about type of flat roofs. I have a 3 layer flat roof with a long description which does not fit with any of their listed items and hope some of you experts may know the answer: "The roof description: flat roof construction (warm): 3 layer plyester roofing felt laid using the hot bitumen pour and roll method finished in white spar chippings bedded in bitumen. All on celotex td4000 insulation 126 thick on mastic to creat vapour control layer on (2.5mm WBP Plywood on 20 ->80 x50 firrings on c24 145x63 joists @400 CTS and 12.5 plasterboard with skin finish fixed underneath to give a V-valve of 0.18 w/m2k" what type of roof is this and how would you classify it as only 1 of these: Asbestos, Asphalt, Felt on timber, Concrete, Corrugated iron, Fibreglass, Glass, Metal, Plastic, Shingle, TIMBER, Turnerised, Woodwork construction, ECO, or Rubber

Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

Its a standard felt on timber roof don't worry about a warm or cold that's the position of your insulation which doesn't affect the type of felt its finished with.
