Removal of wallpaper border adhesive from the wall

I wonder if anyone could advise me please on how I can remove border adhesive from a lounge wall. I have tried everything from steaming it off, scapping, using a wallpaper removal solution. Nothing seems to touch it, or makes it more sticky. Any information would be great Many Thanks

Have you tried using sugar soap? Generally this is very good at removing unwanted adhesive.

Dif Solution and this can be bought in any crown trade shop. this is what is used for taking adhesive glue off for industrial muraspec paper after strippng as it takes the glue and resin of the walls but its not an easy job.
