Repairing Cracks in Rendering

Anonymous user 28/02/2024 - 3.16 PM

Could someone please give me some advice. We are just about to put our house on the market and have noticed a crack in the rendering quite high up. Its not wide but comes down in a diagonal. As we would like to sell the house what would be the best way of repairing this, assuming it would mean that we would have to have the walls repainted after the repair. The walls already have quite a few patches that had been repaired when we bought the house. If we were planning to stay we would have considered having it re-rendered would a repair be possible?

Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

Hi I have painted many houses whith cracks like this, i have filled them with silicone or mortor. If its a flat render try and make it as smooth as possable then paint give the repair a good few coats of paint it should dissapear. Hope this helps>
