Add a toilet downstairs
Anonymous user 15/03/2024 - 2.30 PM
I have a bathroom upstairs, but as family grows, I would like to add one separate toilet downstairs. Not sure what I need to do. Can anyone advice me? Many thanks.
Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

Hi
You don't say where in the I'm you are. I'm in Glasgow.
You would need to contact someone like myself to prepare plans eye for submission to local council

Probably the biggest thing practically is locating your soil stack in your house and where you plan to have the downstairs toilet. If it's opposite ends you may have to install new drains.
Best to seek the advice of a plumber and they could give you estimated costing then you can get plans etc if all works out ok.
