Is sanding down uneven plastered walls easy as a DIY job?
Anonymous user 15/03/2024 - 2.30 PM
I had a few cracks in the walls of my flat so the housing association arranged for a guy to come and plaster over them however the plaster is raised around the edges and uneven so i don't think i can paint straight over that. Is it simply a case of sanding over the area to get a smooth finish? Having him back out seems such a hassle for 3 small patches of wall if i can just do it myself? Thanks alot

hi if your plastering is this bad call back your housing association and complain,
no proper plasterer would ever leave your house like that and they will send an inspector round

i would contact the housing andmake sure he gets reported as no good trades man would leave work like that, but at same time if u don't want anyone back in ur house it could be easier to sand down around edges if its not to bad but if its left like that then more than likely its bad
