Building control officer did not visit for inspection

My inspection was booked Friday afternoon. Inspected never came! Do I have to wait for drainage inspection or can I back fill? Should I contact them? Is this normal for the inspector not to arrive and no contact? Cheers

Did you book the appointment online or over the phone. If online you would have got a confirmation email but if it was over the phone then it's not unusual for phone operator to make an error.
Best thing is to call back Monday and re book.
If absolutely necessary to backfill then take photos and plenty of them to show building inspector.
Some inspectors are fine others not so fine.
