Do tiles have to be removed to fit eaves trays

yes, at least the bottom course, maybe more depending on the tile. this is so the eaves tray can be installed under the felt and fixed in place.

In most cases no the first row can be de-nailed and pushed back depending on style of roof tile.

To do the job properly you have to take first course of and Fix eve-guards with two inch over-lap and nailed in placed under first course of under-felt
