Plastering & Rendering

Budget to deal with water ingress damage and Aspergillis Niger before I post the job.

Anonymous user 23/02/2024 - 2.58 PM

We are in the contract exchanging part of buying a house which has had water pouring down a piece of external wall from a ground floor gutter that butts up to it (badly) causing green mould/ moss to grow on the outside and a gigantic black patch on the interior wall. I understand Aspergillis is the common black mould in a house, and you can't "treat" it, the render and plaster are going to have to be removed and re laid. Internally the patch is about 1m by 2m, under wall paper. I assume more than this will be removed to be certain to get it all. Same with the external render. What sort of budget do we need to get this done professionally? I want to ask here before I post it as a job, in case the sale falls through.

Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?
