Restoration & Refurbishment

Cost of refurbishing a 3/4 bed detached house

Anonymous user 23/02/2024 - 2.58 PM

Hi, I know no one can say exactly but how much (approx) would it cost to completely refurbish a 3/4 bed detached house in NW London? I'm talking about new electrics/plumbing, plasterboard/plaster all internal walls and ceilings, internal doors/architrave/skirting, fitting a new kitchen/bathroom, basic decorative finish etc. I'd be supplying second fix items like switches/sockets, downlights, door handles etc. I'm trying to budget for this project and from the few quotes I've had so far there's a £30k difference between the cheapest and most expensive quote. Thanks

Hi Pinha, my company practice : first fix materials = all building materials what you can't see or touch once the works are complete second fix materials =all finishing what you can see or touch once the works are completed. A standard package / internal refurbish only as you describe should be under £45.000 ( complete labour and first fix materials ) +VAT. Because we can find a wide range of materials and quality/ different performance and lifetime of materials,be aware that small details can change the price significantly in plus or minus. Accurate quotation can be release once all details are discussed, and building materials to be used agreed. ALSO BE AWARE OF THOSE WHAT WILL START CHEAP AND FINISH EXPENSIVE, ADDING UNFAIRLY EXTRA WORKS/ CHARGES ONCE THE PROJECT START. DANNY NATIONWIDE UK CONSTRUCTION LTD
