Hot water on with tap slightly on

Anonymous user 09/03/2024 - 2.32 PM

Hi I have a Ideal Isar 24 which has been good for the last 8 years. But now I only get hot hot water if the hot water tap is half open. If fully open it is luke warm to cold. Also the pressure on the system goes down about every 6 weeks. The pressure problem happens when I use the CH or HW.

Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

Most instant hot water system relies on the slower the water passes through the heater the hotter it is. The faster the water go through the unit it become colder So has your pressure changed .but the Best solution call Ideal boiler for a set fee they will come and service it and repair including all parts I think excluding the main heat exchanger which is unlikely the issue .Again best way

Hi Go round your home and check all your radiator fitting and make sure they are tight as air can be drawn in resulting in pressure drop and air in your rads.If you find they are all fine you may have a small leak on the pipework witch may be in the floor or wall but probably out of eyesight.
