UPVC Door Lock broken

I can't get the key into one side of the lock out of the blue. The other side works as usual. the lock on the problem (ourdoor) side is flush against the door - but stands out on the other side - never noticed this before almost looks as though its been pushed through one side?

Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

Often as barrels age they twist and this can stop key been pushed in or even been removed. New barrel will remedy the problem but make sure it is flush with your handle on the outside and would recommend a anti snap barrel be fitted.

Have a look at mechanism to see if can be repaired or if its blocked, i would try to unblock, if mechanism is totally broken i would replace with same type.
