toilet water flushes only when buttons are in pressed position

My geberit dual button flush valve (261.157.00.1) works only if i keep pushing the button down and it stops as soon as I lift my fingers up. What could be the issue?

you'll need check the spring inside the button, but in some cases its necessary change the button, but I can tell you, it more cheap change the hole system than just the button
