Costs of materials for plumbing job

Anonymous user 28/02/2024 - 3.15 PM

Hi there, The plumber I selected to do the job offered to provide a new set of kitchen taps and a new air extractor unit for the bathroom to replace faulty old ones. He quoted a call out charge but when I asked him for a receipt for the £255 I paid him cash he has not responded....I checked on line and I see that he charged me £100 for a Manrose unit costing £20 and similar mark up on the taps. Is that the sort of mark up I should have expected? Thanks.

If he fitted these then the collection and fitting needs to be paid, however if supply only then you've been ripped

If I leave the site to purchase an article that's charge at cost price as, the time spent is charged for the total job. If the item, needs to be ordered for a later installation (2-3 days later) a 10% surcharge is applied, as a guideline. Tiziano
