Bathroom Fitting

Running soil pipe from under-stair WC & through kitchen out to the back

Anonymous user 28/02/2024 - 3.15 PM

I'm looking at putting a WC under the stairs in a standard 3-bed terrace (main bathroom upstairs at the back). The kitchen is downstairs to the back, looking over the back garden, and the main bathroom soil pipe drops down the back accordingly. The question is, would it be possible to run a soil pipe from a macerator on a new WC under the stairs, and take the pipe behind the kickboard in the kitchen (under the kitchen cabinets) and knock through the back wall of the kitchen to meet the main soil pipe out the back? Or will building regs not allow a soil pipe to run above floor-level through a kitchen like this? Any better solutions you might suggest? Thanks!

hello if you are fitting a macerator , then by definition you do not need a soil pipe, the macerator soil outlet is a 22mm plaster solvent weld pipe commonly known as a overflow pipe you do not have to worry about any building regs in this instance but you must follow the manufacturers installation instructions to the letter.
