Damp Proofing

Tanking a wall with damp

Anonymous user 28/02/2024 - 3.14 PM

Just wondered what the process was for 'tanking' a wall, if I need it and how much this costs per square meter, or does it vary? If it varies, how will I know what to ask for and who to ask without being ripped off?

Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

Hi There Tanking is used to help stop penetrating damp where ground levels are too high or basement properties, you need to hack off defective render, lay on a scratch coat of water proof cement then a layer of tanking followed by another layer of water proof cement then 2 coats of multi finish it is not a cheap process, you need a damp proofing specialist, to come in and price look at their reviews and compare prices all companies work on different rates. regards joseph
