Polycarbonate roof to glass

Hi, I am changing from a polycarbonate roof to glass. My conservatory is about 15 years old. It is square and average size. The company I am using are simply taking out the old plastic ones and inserting glass ones. Is this safe and will my conservatory hold the weigh ? They are saying it will. Thank you

Yes only if you have staunches that will take weight this can be easily checked plastic containing ally of timber at least 4by3
