Depends on what type of plastering you got done,interior/exterior?,sand/cement/skimming?

Hi this will very from wall to wall you will after take into account the age of the house if the walls are thick or if the plasterboards have been fixed to battens and skimed.if the walls are thick the drying process will take longer. I would recommend leaving the walls for as long as possible 4/6 weeks will give the walls time to dry out. if your in a rush you can buy special paints that are microporous paint that will enable the walls to breath and for the moisture to evaporate from the wall.once the paint drys you can give it a miss coat that is paint thinned down (emulsion) then two coats of a finsh of your choice. hope this helps good luck regards Mel. than

its best to wait 72 hours to ensure its dry properly do not use heaters to dry the plaster as it may crack it needs to dry naturally and completely before it is painted.You will be able to tell the plaster is dry as the color will lighten from dark to a light pastel brown.

I would usually leave it around one week. When the plaster is a really light pink colour. Cheers Scott
