Buying a flat with a Saniflo toilet?

Anonymous user 28/02/2024 - 3.14 PM

I have found a property I'd like to buy (in Scotland if that makes a difference) the home report says the WC system is non regulation, and as far as I can tell it is a Saniflo. The property doesnt look like its had an update in 20 or so years, is it possible pre purchase to tell how difficult this would be to get onto the main system, and do I need to replace it? Can I just suck it up and have a Saniflo toilet? The property is otherwise perfect for what I want, however Im worried this plumbing issue is going to cause bother, the whole bathroom needs redone, but more cosmetically rather than moving systems around.

Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

Hi I don't know where in Scotland you are , I'm in Glasgow The main wc requires to be gravity fed Saniflo systems can be used for secondary sanitary provisions eg ensuite or in basements The way forward is for someone like myself or a plumber to ascertain what works would be required Hope this helps Ian
