OSB Boarding...........
Anonymous user 01/03/2024 - 2.52 PM
Can Osb boards be fitted to walls which require plastering without plastering first. They are walls which don't need completely replastering just various holes etc. Many thanks in advance for your advice. Wxxx

Wendy, I would use plaster board and then skim rather than osb board. If it is only patches a plasterer should be able to fill these holes. Thanks

It's not clear if your asking if osb board can replace the plaster or to fill patches of plaster missing/ i would recommend not using osb where it can be seen and it would be cheaper to use plasterboard to patch holes. If its on a stud wall then cut the plaster back neatly to the timber studs and fill hole with some plasterboard and plaster over.
