To skim or lining paper?

Hi, I'm self-renovating a 1930's house which eventually I plan to rent out, and after stripping all the walls of layers of paint and in some cases 7 different wallpaper, I am down to the original plaster. There are a couple of larger cracks from historical movement which I will tape and fill, but I'm unsure which would be best to do on the walls either skim or lining paper? On the whole the plaster is in fairly good condition with just a couple of small blown areas which I will repair, however most of the walls have a number of hairline/spider cracks - and I'm not sure what would be better either to skim or lining paper? Many thanks!

Skim will be better , lining paper will be cheaper

HI Skimming is not all ways the answer Most decorator prefer that as thay don't like the preparation that is need so they say skim the walls and as mention before if skimming use gypbond adhesive painted to the existing walls prior to replastering ,Best to prepare and line with heavy lining paper that way your cornice line and your skirting line stays the same

If the walls are blown in places best to skim also if you wish to rent the house better to spend an make perfect for less future hassle if your just selling then make it look good at a cheaper cost all depends what your plan is for the house in my opinion
